So Sorry its late guys, Had this sent to me this morning ( MT ) and by share chance it was on the 15 May . Don,t remember the Heat as anything as a meeting at Earle St and Crewe thrashed Bradford 49-29 but he goes
On This Day 15 May 1972 Crewe Kings hosted Bradford Northern Off I went with my Grandparents to Earle St Crewe to watch Bradford and I quote "Northern skipper won three of his five outings and was the only visitor to win a race, recording the quickest time in heat 9. He also defeated Phil Crump in Heat 12 to deny him another maximum, ending a sequence of 40 straight wins by the Aussie ace". Don,t ever really remember him speaking about it that nite or when speaking to him in later days
Hope you don,t mind me getting personal and I,ve got another one for the end of the month, also going to try and attach the programme
